Breaking News from WWTI, Watertown, NY:

Lamb slaughtering under investigation

Last Update: 9/14 9:35 am
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department is investigating the slaughtering of a lamb in a farm pasture in Dekalb.

Sometime overnight Saturday and early Sunday, someone went unauthorized onto the farm property along the Risley Road, sheriff's deputies say.

The lamb was slaughtered and butchered, with the meat taken and the rest left behind, deputies said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Department at 315-379-2222.
It must have happened in the shank of the night. The police need information fast—chop chop! They'll probably need to do some legwork. Luckily, these are not your 1890s police with their muttonchops. Whoever did this was a real butcher. If they find him, I hope they let him stew for a while.
