Say, THAT looks good!

I understand that we are a visually oriented society. I understand that people feel compelled to come up with an illustration for everything. But please, read the story, look at the photo and caption, and explain to me: what the hell did Reuters think it was accomplishing here? "You know that guy named Wu who drank so much wine and beer at his wedding in Taipei that his face turned black and he died? Well, just to help you understand the story, here's a photo of a drink being mixed in Beverly Hills last year. Is it clearer to you now?"
